Most of the properties we have chosen for this section are large, classic historic buildings which have been transformed into hotels, guesthouses and other holiday accommodation. We have also included a selection of more humble, rural dwellings which offer a taste of a time gone by due to the building's previous use or the sympathetic way the building has been restored.
