Situated to the north of Lisbon at the edge of the village of Gradil, approximately 10km from the old historic town of Mafra, 20km from the romantic, fairytale town of Sintra, 24km from the seaside and fishing town of Ericeira and 30km from the centre of Lisbon.

Lemon Garden House is an idyllic location set in the grounds of the historic Quinta de Sant'Ana Estate and takes its name from its very own lemon tree-filled courtyard. It used to be the estate's riding stables but has now been converted into a very special and unique place to stay.

The house provides guests with very comfortable and tastefully furnished holiday accommodation. The large, bright, sunny living/dining area with its open fireplace and wood-panelled ceiling is a great focal point and opens out on to the delightful lemon tree courtyard by way of patio doors.

The house is all on ground floor level and has a very private, all enclosed courtyard making this the ideal accommodation for a family with young children.

Being close to the 3 other holiday houses on the estate, Lemon Garden House is also a great location for a group of families who wish to holiday together but have their own separate spaces.

Your charming hosts, James and Ann Frost, have lived on the Quinta since 1993 with their family. Quinta de Sant’ana has been in Ann’s family since the 1960s. The Quinta is their lives and they have worked very hard to maintain the original charm of an old Portuguese working farm. They have recently invested in the wine producing facilities of the Quinta. Guests will be made very welcome by the hosts and their children.

The holiday cottage offers the following accommodation:

* Large living/dining area with open fireplace (not in use), satellite TV, DVD/VCR and CD player and patio doors opening out on to courtyard with garden furniture and barbeque.

* 3 double bedrooms (1 king size, 1 double bed, 1 room with bunkbed + possibility for extra bed or cot)

* Kitchen with electric hob, electric oven, microwave oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine at the rear of the house.

* Bathroom with freestanding bathtub and overhead shower

* Shower room with wc

* Front courtyard full of lemon trees with garden furniture and barbeque

* Rear garden with private entrance, driveway and access to the village

* Parking

* Metered central heating (if required)

* Shared use of large swimming pool

* All linen provided (except beach towels)

* Cleaning service and linen/towel change on a weekly basis. Extra cleaning on request (€7.50 per hour)

* Guests are asked to pay a non-refundable 30% deposit at the point of reservation to secure the booking. The remainder is due on arrival.

* Payments can be made in cash (euros) or by bank transfer.

* There is no credit card facility at this property.

* All payments are made directly to the property owner.

The owners will endeavor to find other dates suitable to clients if cancellation of the initial reservation is necessary. However, the 30% deposit paid on reservation is non-refundable.

Changeover day:
Changeover day for all self-catering houses is Saturday.

Children are very welcome and will be made so by the hosts and their children. The following facilities are available for young children and babies:
